Technical information

Choice FM has been licenced by the Broadcasting Commission of Ireland to broadcast for 15 weekends from August 6th to November 13th 2005.

Our TSA (Transmission Service Area!) is Dublin City and County, allowing us a clear, uninterrupted signal throughout the greater Dublin area.

We broadcast from Three Rock mountain overlooking Dublin on 92.1 FM and will shortly commence streaming online at

We operate using two fully-equiped broadcasting studios at Deansgrange, Co. Dublin.

Studio 1 is where all of our presenters broadcast from and is equipped with On-Air playout PCs, CD playout and Minidisc playout. We also have EMT broadcast turntables installed in Studio One to play those more 'obscure' easy listening tracks!

Studio 2 is used mainly as a production studio and contains PC Playout, Minidisc, CD and other outboard equipment.

In our transmission rack, we use Orban Optimod processing (the best!) in order to give us that extra ‘special’ sound as well as various other devices to give our station the unique sound that it has.

Types of equipment in use at Choice FM include Audix, Tascam, Denon, Neuman, Rode, BSS, Gentner and Orban..
